PHPSESSID – expires when the browser is closed.
The “PHPSESSID” cookie is required so that the site can recognise you clicking from page to page. Without it, every page would be treated as the first visit to the site, and anything added to the shopping basket would be instantly forgotten. Online shopping would, therefore, be impossible.
session – expires after one year.
The “session” cookie is intended for the your convenience. The software we use to run this website creates this with a copy of the initial session ID so that you can be classed as “returning” and the contents of your shopping basket will still be available. This is what allows you to build up your order over several visits to the site.
If you have signed in with an email address and password, these login details are also saved so that you can remain logged in when returning (the password is encrypted). When you sign out, your login details are removed from the cookie.
Third party cookies: these are cookies found in internet tools which we are using to enhance our site, for example Facebook or Google have their own cookies, which are controlled by themselves.
